Arrested and suspected of further theft

Three men have been arrested in connection with pickpocketing, and two of them are suspected of involvement in another similar case in Kópavogur.
This was confirmed by Heimir Ríkarðsson, assistant chief of police with the Capital Area Police, in an interview with mbl.is.
The men were apprehended yesterday at Þingvellir.
Yesterday, the Capital Area Police issued a warning about pickpockets who had targeted elderly citizens and stolen large sums of money.
According to the police statement, three cases of credit card theft have recently been reported. In two of them, the victims were retired men.
