"There must be a working environment in the government"

Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson, chairman of the Progressive Party, and the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, says that it is of the essence that the government can work in peace. If the other governing parties, the Independence Party and the Left-Green Movement, do not trust themselves to stand by and work on the governing agreement, it needs to be revealed now.
The Independence Party held a meeting on the state of the government in Valhöll on Friday. There has been a lot of unrest in the administration building. Two parliamentarians of the Independence Party, Óli Björn Kárason and Jón Gunnarsson, have said that the government's mission has reached its end because the Left-Green Movement do not want to do more in matters of immigration and energy.
"The media has been looking for interviews a lot today. I have not answered questions because I cannot and do not want to know what happens at individual meetings of the partner parties. The leaders of the parties must be asked about their issues.
However, it is becoming clearer by the day that there must be a working environment in the government. If the other governing parties do not trust themselves to stand by and work on the governing agreement, it will have to happen in the very next 24 hours," writes Sigurður Ingi on Facebook.
