French tourist died of hypothermia

 The French tourist whom SAR teams found dead on the slopes of mount Sandfell on January 17th died from hypothermi after a fall.  An autopsy concluded the cause of death.  The man died on December 31st.  

He was 27 years old and arrived in Iceland on December 23rd and hired a rental car upon arrival. He was at Skaftafell National Park on December 29th and on December 30th he was climbing Öræfajökull.  From there on he had to walk 8 km in the dark to the spot where he was found.
