Initial reports from Turkey that an Icelander was among those injured in yesterday morning’s suicide bomb attack in Istanbul have now been retracted.

The Icelandic Foreign Minister has now confirmed that the individual in question is a national of Ireland, not Iceland, as previously communicated.

Four people lost their lives and over thirty were injured when a suicide attacker detonated their bomb in a crowded shopping street. Turkish authorities are pointing the finger of blame at Islamic State.
