The wonderful Food and Fun festival starts in Reykjavik today where guest chefs from around the world visit the city's restaurants to combine efforts in offering exciting new culinary experiences.
The festival is now celebrating its fifteenth anniversary and you can find all the participating restaurants listed HERE.
The mysterious pizza place on Hverfisgata 12 is taking part for the first time this year. Danish chef and managing director of Bæst in Copenhagen, Kristopher Schram will be joining the chefs at Hverfisgata 12 in making sourdough pizzas using organic ingredients.
Schram graduated from The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in 2005 and since then he has worked at restaurants all over the world including a few Michelin restaurants in California, including Terra in the Napa valley. He was also one of the head chefs of Noma and has published several cookbooks.
His menu at Hverfisgata 12 features sourdough pizzas focusing on specially cured meats as well as salted cod.
The Food and Fun Festival takes place until March 6th.
