Third woman victim of slave labour
Reports suggest that a third woman could be involved in the South Iceland slavery case currently being investigated.
According to Icelandic news outlet Fréttablaðið (link in Icelandic), the number of victims involved in the alleged case of slave labour in Iceland has risen to three. The third suspected victim – like the previous two – is a woman from Sri Lanka.
One man, also a Sri Lankan, has been arrested and remanded in custody on human trafficking charges. He is suspect of subjecting his victims to forced labour.
