The streets of Reykjavik may have been deserted as the storm gets worse and worse in the city but there's one place left open: Bæjarins bestu, the legendary hot dog stand that may possibly serve the best hot dogs in the world.

"We're supposed to stay open until 1 am and I'll stay here unless something different happens," said hot dog vendor Snæbjörn Þorri Árnason to mbl.is.

The only people who have bought hot dogs in the last few hours are hungry and despairing tourists which are now all rapidly disappearing back to their hotels. "It's a bizzare situation. I've never had so much time to spare at work."
