Temperatures plunge further down this evening

 Today frost around the country is between -2 and -13 C but tonight the frost will increase. This weekend an area of low depression arrives from the Greenland sea accompanied by wind and snow.

After the weekend the weather will be changeable, with rain ,sleet and snow. 

Those driving around Iceland should be warned that there are wintery conditions, snow and ice on all roads and cars need to be equipped for snow.
