Iceland has not seen last of the snow
The fine spring weather currently gracing most of the country will not last long – with snow and falling temperatures forecast for parts of northern and eastern Iceland later this week.
The weather is expected to be fine – but chilly in parts – today and tomorrow over most of the country.
From Wednesday, however, an area of low pressure to the north of the country will spew cold air over Iceland, bringing snow to the North and East.
The snow is not expected to reach South-West Iceland and the capital Reykjavik, although temperatures will fall too – from a maximum of 10°C (50°F) today to just 3°C (37°F) on Thursday.
