Miss Universe Iceland winner is a handball champion

Hildur María Leifsdóttir won the title of Miss Universe Iceland last weekend,  Leifsdóttir is an air hostess and plays with the ÍR champions league in handball says that she's shocked by the win. 

"I'm slowly coming down to earth. I'm really excited about the whole thing," she said speaking to mbl.is. 

"It was a lot of hard work, and a lot of rehearsals," says Leifsdóttir who says she keeps fit by playing handball. She will be flying to the US now to start preparing for the Miss Universe contest which takes place in the Philippines at the beginning of next year.
