Fenrir Nr 26, produced by Borg Brugghús, has been selected by new Australian book World’s Wackiest Brews as one of the sixty most curiously brewed beers in the world.

Fenrir Nr 26 is smoked over a sheep-manure fire – a smoking method well known and widely used throughout Icelandic history but relatively uncommon in the rest of the world.

The new book, which comes out in July, charts some of the world’s most unusual beer-brewing techniques and unpoetically describes the Icelandic brew as “smoked over a fire of a dried sheep shit”.

The master brewers at Borg have put together a short film presenting Fenrir Nr 26 and the smoking method used to make it.
