The National Court has confirmed the ruling of the District Court of four more weeks in custody for the two men who are suspected of planning a terrorist attack in Iceland. The custody will be until the 10 th of November, including that day, but this time there was not a demand for a solitary confinement.

Sveinn Andri Sveinsson is the defending attorney for one of the men, but he reveals to mbl.is that an independent psychiatric evaluation will take place in the case.

RÚV news reported that the police had asked for such an evaluation to establish how much of a threat was posed in private messages between the men, where they discussed murders and attacks on named individuals and institutions. Later, that request was dropped by the police.
