16 Feb Cairns, man-made piles of stones have been making a rapid appearance on the shoreline below Harpa concert hall and conference centre at the heart of Reykjavik. Tourists began building them on Tuesday and since then they're multiplying very fast.

Dark Music Days in Reykjavik begin today

24 Jan Dark Music Days festival has for decades been one of the main venues for contemporary Icelandic music. For this year's festival, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra teams up with Daníel Bjarnason and its principal violist, Þórunn Ósk Marinósdóttir, for an exciting and varied programme.
