29 Jan There are slippery patches on most main roads in the capital area and it can be slippery on roads in residential areas. There is reason to urge people to be careful during morning traffic. Difficult driving conditions are on many roads outside the city but snow removal is underway according to the website of the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, umferð.is.

24 May A car roll over occurred just before 10 am this morning near Kvísker in Öræfi. The area has been subject to harsh westerly winds today, with maximum wind speeds of 29 meters per second at 10 o’clock. At that time gusts of up to 49 meters per second were recorded.
