Ólafur Ólafsson was sentenced to four and a half years. He has been released after spending just over a year in prison, but has to wear an electronic ankle tag and return daily to a halfway home. mbl.is/Þórður

Ólafur Ólafsson, owner of shipping company Samskip and one of the three jailed bankers released years early, with an electronic ankle tag for surveillance, has now returned to working at his company's headquarters in Reykjavik.

According to public relations company KOM, working for Ólafsson, he is not actually working at Samskip but attending to his international business as far as he can from Iceland. 

Ólafsson has to return from his office to Vernd, a halfway house in Reykjavik before 6 pm in the evenings to partake in household duties. Prisoners at Vernd are not allowed to leave between 11 pm until 7 am on weekdays and between 9 pm and 7 am on weekends.
