Memorial service for Klevis Sula who lost his life in a knife attack
A memorial service will take place for Klevis Sula, a twenty-year-old Albanian man who was stabbed to death at Austurvöllur square. The service takes place at Lake Tjörnin at 5 pm.
"Let's gather and show his family all our condolences, may he rest in peace," says a statement on a Facebook event for the memorial service.
Sula was trying to help the man who then attacked him for no reason. Police say that the suspect is cooperative and is undergoing a mental health assessment.
Icelanders have been raising funds to help Sula's family transport his body to Albania where he will be buried.
