Louise Soreda, a French tourist who was searched for by police, came forward to South Iceland police this morning. She is in good mental health, according to a statement, and accompanied by a French man.

Interpol and Soreda's family are now in contact with her and she will continue her trip around Iceland.  Her family were said to fear for her life as she had told nobody about her journey and hadn't contacted the family for ten days.  She has previously suffered from depression.

Soreda was traced yesterday to a Reykjavik hotel where she stayed for a night and more clues came to light that she was travelling around South Iceland.

The Icelandic police would like to express their thanks to all those who came forward with information on her whereabouts.
