Raging storm likely to close the ring road on the south coast

There's a storm raging in Iceland right now. It has been snowing in mountains today and last night and it will keep on snowing today, particularly in North and East Iceland, and the West Fjords.
Most of the ring road stretching along the south coast of Iceland will likely close around 11:00, between Hella and Höfn in Hornafjörður. It will be extremely windy and there will likely be a sandstorm.
Road conditions are not good on mountain roads in the West Fjords, and North East and East Iceland, and will get worse as the day goes on.
The Icelandic Met Office warns people to look closely at the weather forecast and road conditions before travelling anywhere.
