Reykjavik Park and Zoo has been around for a long time and a visit is a popular activity for Icelandic families on a Sunday afternoon. There is particular excitement in spring, when the baby animals are born.

Spring has just arrived. Already 8 baby goats have been born in the zoo. Chickens of Icelandic hens have just started to hatch, colourful as the breed is known for being.

Farm animals, reindeers and seals

In the zoo part of the park you can find Icelandic domestic animals including farm animals, reindeers, harbor seals and arctic foxes. There's also a small exhibition of foreign reptiles.

It’s also a family park, with rides for the children as well as other activities.
