Triple price of candy for tourists in Iceland

If you’ve walked into a souvenir shop it’s likely you’ve seen Icelandic candy for sale. Some of it with funny names, others referring to glaciers and volcanoes.

Most of these are just a rebrand of different types of candy favoured by Icelanders, sold in pretty much every shop and supermarket in the country. The difference is the price, the markup is up to 360%.
