No clues on Birna's whereabouts despite today's massive search
Birna Brjánsdóttir is twenty years old. She has not been seen since the moment seen above when she was spotted on a security camera on Laugavegur at 05:25 on Saturday, one week ago.
Police officer Grímur Grímsson who leads the investigation of the disappearance of Birna Brjánsdóttir says that not much progress was made to shed a light on her whereabouts.
What today's search did however do to was to eliminate certain areas so that others can be searched further. Nothing today was found that can be connected with Birna in any way.

Police are looking at the cellphones of the two men in custody and according to Grímsson there is still a gap in the timeline of events between 7 am and 11.30 am when the Red Kia Rio was driven from Hafnarfjörður harbour on Saturday morning, a drive which took four hours. It is possible that the car got pretty far in that space of time which means that the area to be searched is very large.
