Reykjavik mayor sends condolences to Berlin

Mayor of Reykjavik Dagur B. Eggertsson has send a message of condolence to Michael Müller, Mayor of Berlin, for the attack on a Christmas market in the German capital yesterday, in which twelve people lost their lives.

The message reads as follows:

Dear Mayor Müller,

On behalf of all the citizens of Reykjavik, please accept my deepest sympathies for the tragic events of yesterday evening on Breitscheidplatz.

Our thoughts are with the victims, the citizens of Berlin, and all those who have suffered loss in this unfathomable atrocity.
