"This week is looking very mild, possibly on Saturday it might get a little colder with a little snow or sleet in North Iceland, but that would only be for a few hours. On Sunday, we'll be back to rain and mild temperatures," says Óli Þór Árnason at the met office.

This last month of October was the warmest since measurements began around 170 years ago and November is also looking pretty unusual.
