Fifteen people injured in coach accident
Mbl.is reports that 42 people were in the coach that overturned near Þingvellir this morning in the first snowfall of winter.
Fifteen of them have been transported to hospital and five are seriously injured, according to RÚV, who also report that the National University Hospital is asking people in blood group O to donate blood to the injured.
Most of the passengers in the coach are Chinese. The embassy has been informed of the accident and will be contacting the next of kin.
The passengers who were uninjured were transferred to a Red Cross crisis centre in Mosfellsbær.
Police would like to ask anyone that picked up a passenger in the area to contact the emergency services 112. This is of vital importance to ensure that all the passengers in the coach are located.
