Storm fast approaching Iceland

This afternoon, an area of low pressure will move fast up the South East coast of Iceland and winds of 30-35 metres per second are expected late this afternoon and this evening. 

A storm is also expected in the West Fjords tonight. 

People travelling around Iceland are warned that there is no servicing of highland roads after September 1st and no park rangers in those areas. Those intending to set out for highland travel need to follow the weather forecast closely.
