Iceland’s Sigþórs­son voted ‘Best Player of Euro 2016’

Icelandic striker Kolbeinn Sigþórs­son has been voted ‘Euro 2016 Player of the Tournament’ by readers of Skysports.

Sigþórs­son received some 34,000 votes, way ahead of the Euro 2016 top goal-scorer, France’s Antoine Griezmann.

Sigþórs­son scored two goals for Iceland at Euro 2016 – the first was the winning goal in Iceland’s dramatic 2-1 victory over England, and the second against France in the quarter-finals.
