Turkish football fans have started a ‘Shirts for Aron’ hashtag to support Aron Gunnarsson, the Icelandic player snubbed by Ronaldo yesterday when he suggested they swapped shirts at the end of the match.

The Real Madrid striker refused to swap shirts with Gunnarsson after Iceland held Portugal to a 1-1 draw in their first Euro 2016 match yesterday.

In a response of solidarity, Turkish football fans unhappy with Ronaldo’s attitude have been taking pictures of their own football shirts and posting them online – dedicating them to Aron.
