"Maybe now we can start again"

"It's a cold country now in January but I think you will find that Icelanders are a warm people," said Prime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson upon the arrival of 35 Syrian refugees yesterday from a UN camp in Lebanon. He added that the joy of the people arriving was infectious and that everyone was very happy to see this happen. 

Ibrahim and Fayrouz, a couple who arrived with their two children and will be settling in Akureyri say that before the war, they had plans for their children. "Maybe now we can continue and maybe now we can start again."
