Heavy snow in Akureyri

There was heavy snowfall in the city of Akureyri, North Iceland last night and the Road Administration warns that traffic is slow and many roads blocked although snow ploughs cleared most main roads this morning. 

Police would also like to ask people travelling from Akureyri to anywhere else in Iceland to keep a close eye on the weather forecast.
