It's official, today was the warmest day in Reykjavik this summer with a scorching 20,3 degrees on Centigrade according to the Iceland Met Office.

The sun may not be shining but there's a warm breeze in the air and people are flocking to Nauthólsvík geothermal beach.

"The summer is not quite over yet," said Þorsteinn V.Jónsson, meterologist at the Iceland Met Office. "It will be warm into the evening and tomorrow." The weather should remain mild in South Iceland for the next few days but rain is expected in North and East Iceland.
