Christmas card landscapes in Akureyri
There are still five weeks until Christmas but when people woke up in Akureyri this morning a picture perfect sight greeted them - a thick fluffy layer of snow.
Snow ploughs cleared the streets in the early hours which means traffic is running smoothly. The people of Akureyri are pretty used to snow and tend to get a lot more snow in the winter than the capital, Reykjavik.
