WOW air to fly Iceland-Miami from April 2017

Miami is the latest destination to be offered to passengers from Iceland by Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air.

Tickets for the airline’s new US destination go on sale today for flights beginning on 5 April 2017. There will be three rotations a weeks – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – all year round.

“It is great to be the first Icelandic airline to offer scheduled flights to Miami,” says WOW air CEO Skúli Mogensen.

“We gather that there is a lot of interest in Iceland among residents of the State of Florida, who will undoubtedly avail themselves of our low fares and visit Iceland.”

The route will be operated by the airline’s new wide-body A330 aircraft. WOW air already links Iceland to Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Montreal, Toronto and Washington DC, and begins flights to New York this autumn.
