There has never been more competition on the Iceland-London route, with five airlines offering scheduled services to the British capital over the 2016-17 winter season.

On peak days, travellers between Iceland and London will be able to choose from twelve different flights and four London airports – Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted, reports Icelandic travel and tourism news website Turisti (link in Icelandic).

There has been massive growth on this route in recent years. In February 2012, when just Iceland Express and Icelandair linked Iceland to London, there was an average of 2.7 flights per day.
