New designer hostel in west Reykjavik opens soon

Oddsson, a hostel in the colourful building on the oceanfront known as the JL building in the west part of Reykjavik offers everything from modest backpacking accommodation to luxury suites.
"We offer an unusual mix of a hotel and hostel says Arnar Gunnlaugsson, one of the owners speaking to Morgunblaðið. The hotel/hostel is on five floors offering accommodation for up to 240 people. "We want to play on the different lifestyles of our guests. From the backpaker to the luxury traveller."
Offering views over Faxaflói bay and Snæfellsjökull glacier, an Italian restaurant and a bar, Oddsson is set to open soon. The old west quarter of Reykjavik, Vesturbær has until now offered little to no hotel accommodation.
