Iceland’s domestic airline Air Iceland is offering a trip for two with accommodation to Ilulissat, Greenland, to the winner of a competition to come up with new names for their aircraft.

“The names should evoke the airline’s operations and the service we provide to people around the country,” says Air Iceland’s Driector of Sales and Marketing Ingi Þór Guðmundsson. “Iceland should be at the heart of the names.”

The five names required should form some sort of conceptual whole and be related to Iceland or its history.

Entries to the competition are to be submitted via the airline’s Facebook page here.

Participants need to write one proposal under the picture of each of the five aircraft, write their name, e-mail address and telephone number in the fields in the bottom right-hand corner and click on ‘Senda tillögur’.

The deadline for entries is 22 January.
