Domestic flights from Reykjavik to other parts of Iceland are being disrupted by the severe weather currently affecting the country.
One Air Iceland flight managed to depart this morning, while the others have been either suspended or cancelled. The situation will be assessed again at 11:05am regarding flights to and from Akureyri, Egilsstaðir and Ísafjörður.
All Air Eagle domestic flights have so far been cancelled this morning (destinations affected: Húsavík and Westman Islands), with the 11:30 flight from Reykjavik to Bíldudalur the next one currently showing as ‘on time’.
Passengers are advised to check the website of the airlines and Reykjavik Airport for the status of their flight and to allow more time for getting to the airport.
