Luxury holiday suites in central Reykjavik

A new luxury aparthotel has opened near the traditional shipyards of Reykjavik harbour in the capital’s downtown area.

Reykjavik Marina Residence is located next door to the well-known Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Marina are comprises seven luxury suites in two converted houses.

The main suite – called Aðalbjörg – is 75 m², while the other six are 40 m². They are all named after Icelandic ships, in keeping with the Residence’s location near the shipyards.

According to hotel manager Birgir Guðmundsson, the new accommodation offers “first-class facilities and personal Icelandic service”, with guests enjoying butler service and all manner of tailor-made luxury and pampering.
