Around four hundred people created a "river" of light in Mount Esja, the mountain across the bay from Reykjavik on Saturday night.
All participants carried a helmet with a flashlight and walked with a space of four metres between them, thus creating a spectacular sight for citizens looking up to the mountain.
The idea behind the event was to promote an organisation alled Ljósið. a rehabilitation and support centre for people diagnosed with cancer.
