No toilets on bus to Akureyri

Due to unforeseen reasons the Straeto buses between Reykjavik and Akureyri will not have functioning toilets for the next month. 

Straeto runs between Iceland's two largest cities, the capital, Reykjavik in the south and Akureyri, the uncrowned capital of the north, a drive that takes approximately 6 hours.  

"The distance from Reykjavik to our stop in Staðarskáli (a petrol station and popular pit-stop restaurant) is very long but our drivers will do their best for passengers," says an announcement from the company.
