Icelandic travel sharing blog Stuck in Iceland travel has recently published a post about Leandro Cerro, an Argentinian Iceland-lover who is currently making “an extensive documentary about the music and sounds that define Iceland”.

Due for release in January 2016, Cerro’s documentary explores the seamless link between Icelandic music and Icelandic nature and, in turn, the Icelandic people.

“Southern Argentina, where Patagonia is, holds some similarities with Iceland,” explains Cerro. “It is close to the South Pole, there are few people per square kilometer, and you find some similar contrasts like ice and lava in the same place. Climate has an obvious influence on the personality of people.”

Among Cerro’s favourite places in Iceland are Akureyri, Jökulsárlón, Seyðisfjörður – and the swimming pools!
