If you want to steer away from the sweet Icelandic Easter eggs this weekend and go for a more grown-up taste,  Omnom is Iceland's hippest chocolate.

With its funky packaging and gorgeous flavours that include sea salt licorice and dark cherry,  Omnom chocolate has also become wildly popular as something to take back from Iceland.

Designer André Úlfur Visage is the man who designed the packaging that everyone's raving about, and he's also one of the owners of Omnom. "We're the only Icelandic chocolate factory making chocolate direct from cocoa beans," he explains. The company imports cocoa beans from Madagascar, Tanzania and Nicarague, roasts them in a unique manner and then the chocolate is moulded and packed at the Omnom headquarters.

Omnom are soon moving to a new location in Reykjavik, to the Grandi harbour area where they will also have a shop. More enticing varieties are also on the cards.

You can read more about Omnom and shop the chocolate HERE.
