The coolest DJ ever is in town, and he's from the Black Forest

Hank the DJ runns two tiny record labels and works at Flight13 Record Shop. The Jon Spencer and the Blues Explosion takes him on tours for pre- and aftershow parties. And he's playing at Kex Hostel tonight!

Hank The DJ hails from Freiburg, a small town right on the foot of the Black Forest city Freiburg. He has been a record collector since he was 14 years old and developed from Hardcore and being Straight Edge to boozy drinks and dirty rock‘n‘roll. For more than 15 years he is a ramblin‘ man, traveling round the globe with his record box. There are always two issues, record hunting - and playing music to the people, sometimes a third issue: getting a nice drink.
