Iceland’s 2016 Eurovision dream is over

Iceland has crashed out of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest at the semi-final stage, having failed to secure a high enough position in tonight’s qualification heat.

Only the top ten entries from tonight’s semi-final were guaranteed places in Saturday’s final in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Icelandic offering did not make the cut.

This is the second year in a row that Iceland has failed to qualify for the Eurovision final.
