Students dance in Icelandic national costume
The commercial college of Iceland, Verslunarskóli Íslands has upheld a tradition since 1924 to hold a special dance for graduates in the city centre. According to custom, girls wear the traditional Icelandic "peysuföt," and the boys wear black tie and tails.
The dance took place on Thursday to the sweet sounds of the accordion on Ingólfstorg square in the city centre.
Another college, Kvennaskólinn, also upholds this tradition.
