Beyoncé's Lemonade dress: Identical to an Icelandic design from 5 years ago

Hjördís Gestsdóttir graduated as a fashion designer from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2011. One of the pieces in her graduation show, a mustard yellow silk dress is almost identical to a dress by Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli, worn by Beyoncé in the Lemonade film.
Gestsdóttir's dress, made out of ten meters of silk, got great reviews at her final show and took part in the Scandinavian Designer's Nest contest in Copenhagen in 2012. "I was really surprised when I saw the dress, it looks almost exactly the same as my dress," laughs Gestsdóttir who is amused, but unfazed at the similarities. So where is the dress now? "It's just hanging in my closet."
She adds that maybe she will send photos of all her designs to Beyoncé. "Who knows, maybe she'll pick something up."
