To celebrate both Design March and  the 10 year anniversary of the Icelandic design of Farmers Market, an event and photography exhibition will take place at the Farmers market shop and workshop at Grandi.

"We're hosting an art installation and an exhibition of the photographs that Ari Magg has taken for Farmers Market over the years," explains Jóel Pálsson, owner of Farmers Market. Ari Magg is one of Iceland's best known photographers.

"We've enjoyed a successful collaboration with Ari for the past eight years. He understands our ideology and knows us well. We wanted the photos to be like stills from a film, films that were never made, but have a big story behind them. We've also made a Farmers Market short, shot by Óttar Guðnason," and he adds that it can be viewed on their website, www.farmersmarket.is.

New garments from the Farmers Market range will also be presented at the event, including coats, jumpers, dresses, underwear and accessories. "Country romance, sustainability and classic tailoring are still the main themes."

The event takes place on March 11th at 8 pm at Farmers &Friends on Hólmaslóð 2 at the Grandi area at Reykjavik harbour.
