Melancholic ballads with a hint of Hazlewood

<p>Gunman & The Holy Ghost have just released their new album, The Story of Radiate and Novocaine and a video to the song Gun Blue Steel & Cold.</p> <p>The man behind the band is Berlin-based Icelander Hákon Aðalsteinsson, formerly of Third Sound and Singapore Sling. This is Gunman's second album and features ten wistful songs with lyrics that are so depressing that they're almost funny.</p> <p>The sound is inspired by everything from Lee Hazlewood and Hank Williams to The Jesus and Mary Chain. The new album is on Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre's </p><a href="https://soundcloud.com/a-records-6">A Records</a><p> label and also worth noting is that Aðalsteinsson and Newcombe are involved with a side project of Toronto singer-songwriter Tess Parks.
