Package deal to Iceland: drugs included

Foreign websites (and at least one Icelandic one) are offering tourists the chance to pre-order cannabis for their journey to Iceland and have their drugs delivered to them upon landing in Iceland.

Tourists are assisted in finding cannabis dealers and are informed of the penalties they face if caught by police in possession.

The use of cannabis is banned in Iceland and it may therefore be assumed that few travel to the country for that specific purpose, particularly when many nearby countries have laxer rules.

Under Icelandic law, possession of cannabis for personal use is a prosecutable offence. Nevertheless, websites exist offering visitors the chance to pre-order cannabis and even have it delivered to them at Keflavík International Airport (KEF).
