The Deplar luxury hotel in Skagafjörður, North Iceland, run by US travel company Eleven Experiences opened last Thursday and has received its first guests. 

There are 12 rooms/apartments available at the hotel, and two helicopter landing pads on the site. Among the services offered are heliskiing, a luxurious spa, salmon fishing trips, hiking, mountaineering, ice climbing, conference rooms, an outdoor swimmming pool, saunas, whale watching, biking, and a luxury restaurant and bar. 

A night at Deplar costs a minimum of 1,750 USD per person, which includes the accommodation, food, an activities package, drinks, a guide, flights to and from Akureyri and a professional photographer can also be ordered to document your stay. Helicopter trips, superjeep trips and river rafting costs extra.
